KEBBI STATE MINISTRY OF HEALTH IN COLLAVORATION WITH NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NAIGERIAN NURSES AND MIDWIVES, KEBBI STATE COUNCIL INDUCTS NEWLY QUALIFIED NURSES & MIDWIVES DIRECTLY INTO THE CIVIL SERVICE.

His Excellency, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Governor of Kebbi State has performed the oath taking & induction of newly qualified nurses & midwives at the School of Nursing & Midwifery in Kebbi State. The Governor congratulated/called on the Nurses and Midwives to work diligently to excel and be empathetic towards their patients.

The Governor mentioned that medical manpower is essential to the development of Kebbi State. Adding that health of the people directly influences growth of the economy. He urged the graduates and those who are in school to take studies seriously. He said all humans are created equal but the ones who stand out are those who put in the extra effort.

The Commissioner of Health, Alh. Umar Usman Kambaza explained that it was important to continue to hire nurses & midwives into the civil service immediately. Dr. Aminu H. Bunza, Kebbi State DMS stated that nurses are the heart of every hospital. He added that without them hospitals cannot function.

In attendance were Wife of the Governor, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu; Chief of Staff, Alh. Suleiman Argungu; Former Deputy Governor & Member House of Reps, Alh. Bello Dantani, Commissioners of Health & Higher Education, Chairman NANNM, Medicaid Cancer Foundation team amongst other distinguished guests

The induction was organized by the Kebbi State Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Kebbi State Council of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM).
